I had this tingling sensation around my neck as I was sitting in the park. It persisted, so I scratched it and… out from under my collar flew a wasp. She seemed very lethargic (it’s cold around here) and perhaps it explains why she did not sting. Not far from the bench was this nest (see pic), but no wasps flying in and out, so I guess the one on my neck was a marauder left behind.
do you happen to know what kind of wasp made that nest?
don’t know much about wasps, but it was large, yellow jackets come to mind as these are always plentiful in my area.
