TD: What is the new novel about?

You know I don’t like to talk about it before the at least the first draft is complete, but you will judge the progress of this study so I’ll only let you on some basics.

You may recall that even before the first novel I wanted to write about spies in frock. Not priests reporting to security agencies, such as it were in Poland under communists, but actual priest-spies, as in Vatican intelligence officers.

But then I wrote TFI, and then the second book, and I even started my third, tentatively called “The Courier”. As I worked on the outline, I read nonfiction on Jesuits and other orders, and I happen upon a concept that advocates  freedom not only from sin, but also from poverty and injustice, anti-consumerism, and freedom from political and economic slavery imposed by the United States of America.

At the forefront of the movement are the Jesuits…
